Trading Platform Administrator

SUMMARY

Reporting to the IT Manager and based in Limassol, you will be responsible for providing internal and external support for the company Foreign Exchange (FX) trading systems and all related services. This is a senior level role which requires a solid experience in administration and maintenance of multi-tenure trading ecosystems.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Ideally, you should have a friendly personality with a positive outlook like being part of a team and shouldn’t be afraid to use your own initiative. You will most likely have a passion for the FX market. You will want to succeed in the business by working with your colleagues to deliver a premium service to clients. More specific requirements and areas you should be able to demonstrate experience in are as follows:

  • Full administration of company FX Trading Platforms 
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for company FX trading applications internally and externally to clients and 3rd party vendors 
  • Create and maintain full documentation for relevant systems 
  • Handle acceptance testing for application evolutions
  • Handle client and liquidity on-boarding 
  • Provide training and guidance for junior staff

Requirements:

  • Resident in Cyprus and have fluent verbal and written English 
  • IT Degree (or some directly related experience) 
  • Experience in Windows system maintenance and scripting 
  • Experience working with retail FX bridge technologies 
  • Previous experience in a financial Application Support role (specifically MT4 trading) essential 
  • Experience in FXI API and in MT4 bridge essential 
  • Experience with MT5 is useful, although training will be provided 
  • Experience in DB Administration or SQL based reporting highly desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of Windows O.S. 
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Scripting/programming skills a definite advantage 
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial market concepts 
  • Good understanding of SQL and proficiency in administration of relational database a definite advantage

 Personal Skills:

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) 
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment 
  • Interpersonal – ability to work cross departmentally 
  • Desire to increase knowledge and to learn new and/or improve skills
